The short version
Music you download during a paid membership is yours to keep, even if you
later cancel.
It is for you and your household — not for reselling, republishing or
putting behind someone else’s paywall.
Fourteen days to change your mind on a first purchase.
Everything below is the detail. If something here seems unfair or unclear,
write to hello@saintsuradio.com
and a person will answer — we would rather fix a term than argue about one.
These terms are a contract. They are written to be readable rather than to
be impressive, but they are still the agreement between you and us, and by
enrolling, giving or ordering you accept them.
Who you are dealing with
Saints U Radio is operated by Rockit Light Industries, and
Saints University is the name it trades under. Your agreement is with Rockit
Light Industries. Where these terms say “we” or “us”,
that is who is meant.
Our address for anything to do with these terms is
hello@saintsuradio.com.
How we handle your personal information is a separate document:
our Privacy Policy.
Your account
One account, one person. An account is for you. Members of
your household may listen on your account on your devices; sharing your
password more widely is not permitted, and it is the main thing we watch for.
Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think somebody
else has it. You are responsible for what happens on your account until you do.
You must be old enough to agree to these terms in the place you live. If you
are under that age, a parent, guardian or group leader agrees on your behalf.
See Young people and group passes
in the Privacy Policy.
Membership and billing
Memberships are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each
period — monthly or annual, whichever you chose — until you cancel.
Prices are shown before you pay and are in US dollars. Tax, where it applies,
is added at checkout rather than absorbed into the price shown.
Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or hold your card number.
Cancelling
You may cancel at any time, from the billing portal linked in
your account. Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not cut off access
immediately — you keep everything you have paid for until the end of the
period you are in, and access ends then.
Cancel before the renewal date. A renewal that has already been taken is
covered by Refunds below.
Price changes
If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will email you at least 30
days before it takes effect, and it will never apply to a period you have
already paid for. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it starts.
Refunds
First purchase: 14 days. If you join and it is not what you
expected, ask within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it. You
do not have to give a reason.
Renewals are not refundable, because you can cancel at any
time before one is taken. That said, if a renewal caught you out and you have
not used the service since, write to us — we would rather sort it out
than keep money from someone who did not mean to spend it.
Group passes: 14 days from purchase, reduced in proportion to
seats already claimed. If twenty of thirty seats are in use, we are refunding
the ten that are not.
One limit, and the reason for it. Music you download stays
yours after you cancel — see Downloads.
That is deliberate and we are not going to take it away. But it does mean a
refund can be declined where the library has already been downloaded in
bulk, because at that point a refund is not a change of mind, it is a way of
taking the catalogue for nothing. We will tell you plainly if this is why,
and it will not be invoked over a handful of songs.
Gifts are not refundable — see Gifts.
Printed issues are covered under
Printed magazines.
Group passes
A church, school or ministry buys a number of seats and receives a join code.
Anyone with the code can claim a seat until the seats run out.
You may share your join code as you see fit — post it in
a group chat, print it in a bulletin, hand it round at a service. We are not
going to police who your ministry is for.
The trade is that the seats are yours and so is the responsibility for
who fills them. If a code gets out and strangers take seats you paid
for, those seats are used. Tell us and we will issue you a fresh code, but we
cannot un-claim a seat somebody is sitting in.
Seats and members
A seat belongs to the group, not to the person in it. A group administrator
can release a seat so somebody else can take it — the person released
keeps their own access until the end of the period the group has paid for, so
nobody loses time that was bought for them.
Seat records are kept after a seat is released, so we can answer questions
about how a group ran out of seats.
Reducing your seat count
You can lower your seat count for the next period. Because that change is made
with our payment provider rather than on this site, it takes effect at renewal
and we cannot stop it part-way. If your roster is over the new count when the
renewal lands, we will tell you and you choose who comes off
— we are not going to pick members of your church for you.
If nobody has been chosen by the time the notice period is up, a monthly pass
keeps everyone for one further period while it is sorted out. An annual pass
does not, because the next chance to correct it is a year away.
What you may do with the content
The music, magazines, comics, artwork and programming on Saints U Radio belong
to us or to the artists and writers who made them. Your membership is a
licence to enjoy them, not a transfer of ownership.
Yes
- Listen, read and watch as much as you like, on any of your devices.
- Play it at home, in the car, in your room, with your family.
- Play it in your youth group, class or service, if the room is covered by a
pass — that is what a group pass is for.
- Tell people about it, quote a lyric, share a link.
No
- Selling it, in any form, on any platform.
- Uploading it to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud
or anywhere else, whether or not you make money from it.
- Putting it behind someone else’s paywall, including a
church app or members area that is not ours.
- Using it as a soundtrack for a video, advert, podcast or
production without written permission from us. This is the one people get
wrong most often, and it is usually well meant — ask us, and the answer
is often yes.
- Editing, remixing or sampling it into something you then distribute.
- Stripping out our name, credits or artwork.
If you want to do something that is not on either list, ask. We are a small
operation and we answer our email.
Downloads
Music you download while your membership is live is yours to keep.
If you cancel, or your membership lapses, the files already on your device stay
on your device and you may go on listening to them. We will not disable them
and we will not ask for them back.
We do this because a large part of our audience does not have reliable
internet, and a download that stops working the moment a card fails is not
really a download.
Two things that follow from it:
Access to download new material ends when your membership does.
Gifts
A gift is a gift. It supports the building of Saints U Radio and is not a
purchase of anything — it does not create an account, and it does
not give access to the music. If you want access, join.
Gifts are not refundable, because nothing is delivered that can be handed
back. If you gave by mistake — wrong amount, wrong button, twice over
— write to us and we will put it right.
We are not currently a registered charity, so a gift is not tax-deductible and
we do not issue receipts that claim otherwise.
Where a gift level is described as coming with recognition or benefits, we will
provide what is described. Those benefits are not a purchased product and may
change in form over time.
Printed magazines
Printed issues are produced and shipped by a third-party printer. Delivery
estimates are estimates, not promises, and they are the part of this we control
least.
- Damaged or wrong on arrival — tell us within 30 days
with a photo and we will replace it free.
- Never arrived — tell us and we will chase it, and
replace it if it is genuinely lost.
- Changed your mind — we can cancel and refund before
it ships. Once it has shipped we cannot.
- Wrong address — check it at checkout. We will help,
but a parcel sent to an address you gave us is not something we can recover.
Fair use of the service
Please do not:
- Try to reach the audio, magazines or comics by any route other than the
site itself, or work around the checks that decide who may play what.
- Scrape, bulk-download or automate against the site.
- Copy, mirror or reproduce the site itself — its
pages, design, code or structure — to run it, or something built from
it, somewhere else.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or pick apart how the site or
its player works, or use any part of it to build a competing service.
- Probe, load-test or attack it. If you find a security problem, tell us
— we will thank you properly.
- Resell access, or run our content through another service.
- Use the site to harass anyone, or to post anything unlawful where the site
lets you write to us.
Do not put our music on other platforms
This is important enough to say on its own, and it is the one thing we will
act on hardest.
You may not take any song from Saints U Radio — however you
obtained it, including a file you downloaded as a member — and upload,
distribute, sell or monetise it on any other service, anywhere in the world.
That includes, and is not limited to, Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes, Amazon
Music, YouTube and YouTube Music, TikTok, SoundCloud, Tidal, Deezer, Audiomack,
Boomplay, Pandora, and any distributor — DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby and
the like — that delivers to them.
This applies whether or not you change the file, rename it, re-record it, or
claim it as your own, and whether or not you make any money from it.
You also may not register, alter, strip or attach identifying codes
to our music — ISRC codes, UPC or EAN codes, songwriter or publishing
splits, content-ID or fingerprint registrations, or any similar metadata. Our
recordings carry their own codes where they have them, and those belong to us
and the rights holders. Assigning your own codes to our work, or claiming it
under a content-identification system, is a serious matter: it can wrongly
divert royalties and can cause our own music to be flagged against us, and we
will treat it as such.
The recordings, the songs, the artwork and their associated rights belong to us
or to the artists and writers we work with. Nothing on this site transfers any
of that to you. If you are an artist who wants your own work distributed, that
is a conversation we would love to have —
write to us.
Suspension and ending
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms — in practice,
for shared passwords, redistributing content, or attacking the service.
Where it is honest confusion, we will contact you first. Most
things on that list happen by accident and are fixed in one email. We would
rather explain than terminate.
If we close a paid account for a breach, we refund the unused part of the
period unless the breach was deliberate redistribution of our content.
You can close your account at any time by writing to us. What we do with your
information then is described in
Your rights.
Music you had already downloaded remains yours in either case, under
Downloads.
Changes
To the service. Saints U Radio is being built. Content is
added, and occasionally something is removed or replaced. Goals we publish
— a number of songs by a date, a subscriber target — are what we are
working towards, not commitments we are selling you. If a specific thing you
joined for disappears, tell us and we will make it right.
To these terms. When they change, the date at the top changes
with them. If a change materially affects what you are agreeing to, we will
email members rather than rely on you noticing. Continuing to use the service
after that means you accept the new version; if you do not, cancel, and the
refund terms above apply as normal.
Disclaimers and liability
We work hard to keep the station up, but we do not promise it will be
available without interruption, or that every file will always play on every
device. The service is provided as it is.
Nothing here limits liability we are not permitted to limit — including
for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to
that, our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to what
you paid us in that period.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and specifically not for
an event you ran that depended on our content playing.
If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, and the courts of Jamaica have
jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections
you have under the law of the place you live.
